Drea de Matteo, star of ‘Sopranos,” lost many items in a fire that destroyed her apartment, but saved the iconic tiger jumpsuit worn in the series.

+ Presenter Amanda Holden talks about today’s outfit: “I feel like a lady.”

In 2015, Drea de Matteo lost her apartment in a fire caused by a gas explosion in a neighboring building; as a result, the actress who portrayed Adriana La Cerva in the HBO hit was left without most of her costumes, scripts, and other items she had kept as mementos from her time as the girlfriend of mafia member Christopher Moltisanti.

But fortunately, one of the most iconic pieces worn by Matteo during ‘The Sopranos’ was found intact by the actress. To Page Six she recounted her surprise at seeing the piece again: “I thought I had lost the tiger suit, the famous tiger suit,” De Matteo said. “So when we were leaving my house in the Hamptons and I found a box… I found the tiger suit! I couldn’t believe I found the tiger suit.”

Unfortunately, another iconic costume worn by Matteo may have been destroyed in the fire; the leather jacket with fur collar and the jeans that Adriana is wearing when she is murdered in the 5th season of the series.

“That costume I still can’t find… it’s my death costume,” says De Matteo. “It may have burned or it may be stored away.”
